Sport in Ossett since 1868
Everyone knows Ossett Cricket Club. Since 1868 when the land was left in trust, Ossett has enjoyed a fantastic sporting facility. Home originally to the local Cricket team, as time has passed many more sporting disciplines now affiliate themselves with our club and use us as their headquarters. Football & Rugby Union make up our other major sections, offering the chance for people to participate on any level they desire. Rounders, Snooker, Bowls and Golf form our other sections and we are always looking to add numbers to these memberships, and to introduce new sports too.

Mission Statement & Objectives
- We are a not-for-profits sports club that will provide an inclusive, safe and welcoming facility to benefit our local community, open to everyone.
- We will strive to remain self-sustainable. All surplus funds will be reinvested in to our club.
- Sport, Events and Social activities are at our core. We will provide them irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, religion or sexual orientation.
- We will support charitable organisations, promote and host local events and provide a primary venue to host community-based projects.
Your Ossett Events Venue
We cater for almost any event, however big or small – weddings, funeral wakes, engagements, birthdays, christenings, meetings – with or without food and entertainment. We have five function rooms with different capacities offering different atmospheres, and many, many contacts in the entertainment industry to help make your event just perfect.

Our History
The origins of Ossett Cricket & Athletic Club date back to 1868 when an area of land at Dimple Wells was left in trust, solely for the purpose of sporting activities. It can never be changed, so sport is here to stay. Whilst ensuing decades have seen constant development, our club remains firmly in touch with its origins and values.
Several sporting sections are now affiliated with Ossett Cricket & Athletic Club and we boast the best function venue facilities in the local area. We can cater for almost any event (but be warned, the diary books up months in advance!)

Great place to socialise and watch sport, they've made huge improvements. Lovely selection of beers, lagers and ciders and a really friendly atmosphere. Membership is so cheap and the events are brilliant. Well done Ossett Cricket Club!!

Would highly recommend this location as a place to hire for a party. Jo is soooo helpful! They have two snooker tables as well as 5 aside pitches and a cricket pitch, obviously. I just bought a membership - it's only £25 for our family - that's 50p a week!
