Formed in 1963, Ossett Trinitarians is by far the oldest and most established junior football club in Ossett.

Originally the club was part of the Holy Trinity Parish Church Youth Fellowship, from which it derived its name. Interest was soon blooming and by 1965 the club had grown out of its original base. An offer to share facilities at Ossett Albion Football Club was gratefully accepted and the club moved to a new home.

We are a family orientated club and cater for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17. Currently, we have boys teams at every age group between Under 6’s and Under 17’s and girls teams at U10’s, U12’s, U14’s and Under U16’s.

Club philosophy statement

Ossett Albion Juniors have over 300 players associated with the club, aged between 5 – 18. We have mixed-gender, male only and female-only teams. We currently hold the Charter Standard Development Status and promote ourselves as a family football club. In 2015 we created the ‘Ossett Albion Way’ ethos to take the club forward and to develop our players in a clear and definitive way. It remains important that we keep this vision and philosophy and that all managers and coaches are aware of it and strive to achieve its standards.Ossett Albion Juniors playing and coaching philosophy is based upon the ‘England DNA’, the ‘FA Four Corner Model’, and our experience of coaching young players, achieving coaching qualifications and working with parents, referees, Leagues and the FA. We support and implement the FA’s Respect Programme across all age groups and have a zero tolerance stance towards bullying and the isolation of individuals. We allow players to make mistakes and to make their own decisions, thus developing a confident and competent player.

Club Ethos

Our Club Ethos is a written declaration that sets out how we want to run as a club. It’s simple and concise and can be understood by players, parents & officials.

Most of our teams train on Saturday mornings.  Younger age groups train on the Ossett Cricket and Athletic Club Astroturf, older age groups at Southdale playing fields.  Most teams pay on Sundays in either the Garforth Junior League or the Huddersfield Junior League.

All our coaches must be FA level 1 qualified as a minimum and DBS checked.
